Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Log into your WordPress back end (Check out our support if you don't know how to do this)
Step2: Go to Appearance and select menu
Step3: Select the correct menu on top and hit select
TO ADD ITEMS TO THE MENU: View the left-hand side plane and select a category, page tr Product Category.
As you can see in the example above these are the most Popular Options to add to your menu. When you have an online store "Product categories" will also be important
Product categories will only be visible if it's activated under SCREEN OPTIONS ( top righthand corner of the menu) as per the picture below. It's important that you activate this
as product categories are the only why that you will be able to add your categories to your menu. So activate this immediately when you start building your menu.
In this example, I have chosen categories and added an "uncategorized category to my menu. To do this, I ticked the check box and clicked on Add to menu. You will do the same
DROP DOWN MENU'S
1) How do I create a drop-down menu?
Answer: Simply drag the category item to the right as per the picture below
As you can see the "uncategorized item" was moved to the right. What this does is a small drop-down icon will appear next to the client area
giving you the option to choose the uncategorized item.
Once completed Click on the "save menu" and view your menu in the front end.
To view your website menu in the front end, simply right-click on the website name in your WordPress back end (left-hand corner) above and say "open in new tab"
